What if you woke up to no electricity. Perhaps it was a storm. Perhaps not.

Your car won't start. Your generator may or may not start. No tv. No explanation on the battery powered radio.
An old man who lives in the neighborhood is going door-to-door telling everyone that he heard on Ham radio that the power grid had been attacked in the early morning hours. Or perhaps it was a flare.
Do you believe the old man? What do you do at that moment?

Move the couch in front of one door, the china cabinet in front of the back door and set up in my 2nd story bedroom window that faces out towards the front of my house heavily armed. Then I wait...............

I'd go around the corner to my buddies who is armed to the teeth. How would the power grid affect my car??? It wouldn't. We'd drive down to the camp.

If the power was out AND my car wouldn't start, I'd have enough sense to think EMP, not downed power lines.
