I know the search feature sucks and all but has there been no talk of The Knick feat. Clive Owen on this board at all?
Pretty decent show so far with only one season completed.
1900s Medical drama that's a little gory because Showtime.
anyone else seen it?
ETA: A lot like House too now that I think about it. Just the fact that he's a surgeon and it's in the early part of the 20th century and they can say frick.

I am about 4 episodes in with the wife. She works in the medical field so that is how she heard about it.

There was a thread on it during the season, I believe. I actually really wanted to see it because of Owen and Soderbergh, but I lost my free HBO/Cinemax trial right before it came on. Hopefully will catch up on it later, but my understanding is that it is stylistically brilliant, well directed, and well acted, but has quite a few too well trod tropes that it hinges upon and the plot is relatively meh.
But I think they brought it back for a season 2 after Soderbergh pretty much demanded it, Owen was still on board, and they shot all of season 1 in something like 11 weeks or some crazy shite.
