I know she supposedly supported it before but now it's hell or high water.....So ironic...

I'm shocked, shocked I say!

Mary always supports issues that are in the best intrest of Louisianians.

She's always supported it and had it up for a vote last Spring. Vitter and the republicans filibustered it.

Its obvious what is going on.
Harry Reid has blocked a vote on Keystone for over a year now, but since the election he knows that he won't control the Senate for much longer and that the Republicans will push it through first thing.
This way the Dems can take credit for a popular issue even though they blocked it for years.
Oh and I haven't seen anything saying Obama won't veto it. have you? This could be all for show and nothing will become law.

It's the Demos last card in the hole to keep LA in fold.

Who here would like to bet that it was not a clean bill?

The woman has had YEARS to use her "influence" to get this done, and it hasn't happened. Suddenly, between the general election and the run-off, we're supposed to believe this is anything other than the Dem Party trying to save her arse?
In addition to calling us racist and sexist, I guess Queen Mary thinks Louisianans are brain-dead, too.
PS - if Vitter was filibustering a bill that included green lighting Keystone, then you can rest assured that there was some unacceptable crap in it. As usual, VB doesn't tell us the whole story.

I'd like a link to that story

IIRC Reid agreed to a vote on Keystone, conditional on passing some energy efficiency bill first, unamended.

The dems are ready to throw the environmentalists under the bus to keep a little bit of power.

Such utter bullcrap. Reid tried to bribe the Republicans into not filibustering a very expensive energy efficiency bill ("Shaheen-Portman") with no chance to vote on amendments, and if they went along then he would allow a vote on Keystone. The Republicans didn't sell out and Reid knew they wouldn't. He made the offer to score political points by bringing up the "obstructionists" label again.

Now is the time for you anti-democrats to rise and shine in good ole La. Let her spew all the rhetoric needed to get the bill thru Congress, let Valerie Jarrett tell Obama how to vote on it and THEN, vote Mary's arse out of office.
No lose situation for you guys. The majority of the rest of America will be indebted to you.

The smart informed voters know her sudden push for keystone is BS and for political gain.
But hey if it somehow makes it past obumer and his pen, great for our country and thank you Mary enjoy retirement cause you still won't be re-elected.

There is enough purple state Dems that will join the GOP and permit the Keystone Pipeline circumventing the State Department (aka, Obama) for a veto proof majority. The left leaning Dems will vote no and thus protect themselves from their confused, misinformed and delusional environmentalist base.

Seth MacFarlane tweeted today about how awful it is that the first thing up for the "new Republican Congress" is the pipeline.
HE is theoretically, more engaged than the typical leftist voter.
2 years from now, after Keystone passes, Democrats will run around calling it 100% a Republican thing and their whole f'n voting base will lap it up.
