I keep finding mixed reviews online mostly with people flying within the EU. Has anyone flown with this airliner internationally? How was it?

I like to use Delta but they have a deal I can't pass up, $640 round trip to Prague in March.

Also, the flight I'm looking at has a 13hr Layover in Istanbul. I've heard amazing things about this place and always wanted to visit. Is the airport near the city? best way to get around leaving the airport?

FYI: Ain't scurred of no ISIS

I just did it in late September. Got lucky on seats in economy so it wasn't too bad.

Decent food. Great movie selection. I would fly again if my connection was not too far away. I was heading to Munich so it made for a long day of flights.

City center is about 25 minutes from the airport. I took a taxi out to my hotel.

That's not bad at all from the town center. So I can get a good 7-8 hours in Istanbul, sounds legit!

I flew Turkish Air from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Amsterdam with a short refueling stop in Istanbul. Terribly disorganized. Missed my Delta connection to Atlanta in Amsterdam because we were so late arriving from Istanbul.

I flew Turkish air from Barcelona to Istanbul. No complaints at all. Also, you can take a tram/light rail into the city from the airport. Get off at the sultanahmet stop and you'll have more to do/see than you can handle in a day.

I flew nonstop from Los Angeles to Istanbul, then to Athens, then back on turkish airlines. Airline was fine but lost my bag on the way back and took forever to get it back.

Istanbul is an incredible place and I would actually consider taking a longer layover there if you have the time. It's 10/10 awesome.
