Will Landrieu run for Vitter's seat if Vitter runs for Gov?

No, she is done. It will be a very long time until a Dem is elected to a statewide office in LA.

Yes, she will run, but, I think she will not win in 2016.

Never underestimate the ability of the Louisiana GOP to step on its collective dick.

Will be Jindal if he's not in a cabinet post.

If Cassidy wins, Vitter will opt to stay in D.C. as the state's senior senator in a republican senate. Mary toast and finished politically, and Mitch has nowhere to go. This will open the door for Scott Angelle to move to the fourth floor.... He'll beat all comers. Dardenne will stay where he's at.

Vitter has already announced his intent to run for LA Governor.

Vitter is running for Gov. and if elected as the new governor will get to select his successor to the senate. He's been very tight lipped about who that would be, more than likely bc he doesn't know yet and isn't in a position yet to have to make that choice.

It could be a strong challenger he promises the position to in order to drop out of hte race (Angelle? Dardenne?) or it could be someone he thinks deserves the position (sitting Congressman?), or someone within the Louisiana political system that helps (or has helped) him to victory. It will make for some very interesting discussion in the coming year.

Considering she has yet to be unseated from her own seat - I'd say its a little early to tell.

If she gets creamed in the run-off I doubt it will happen.

If she puts up a decent fight >45% - MAYBE. I think it may depend heavily on what other Democrats are available. If no other contender is there to run, the Dems gotta run SOMEONE.

And if she wins, which she won't, then obviously not.

Yes, Landrieu will run, but not Mary. Mitch will be the democratic nominee unless Mitch decides to run for governor instead.

He wants to be in dc. Hell if he gets elected to AG that's putting the fox in charge of the hen house. Worst possible candidate

I actually agree with every word of a Spiderman Tuba post. This feels weird.

Hopefully not. Another Alario type. Former EWE Democrat who has little real ethics and will re-brand himself into whatever he needs to have political power.
