If it was a great bear those are almost Dragon level. Normal bears are also real hard.

When starting the Hinterlands the Southwestern area is the hardest spot other than the Falls rift.

The bears are in that area so you just stumbled into the hardest are of the Hinterlands.

What are some quests that are good to start out with? I got the horse and was trying to claim the camps in Hinterland but it's not letting me do anything.

Not sure what you mean by it's not letting you do anything. You may have to dismount to claim the camps. I never used a mount in my first play through, so I'm not sure if that is the case.

The mount isn't much faster and you won't pick up as many items because you need to dismount. Also no group dialog on the mount so I wouldn't use one.

They need to at minimum allow item pickup if they want the amount to be even slightly useful.

Yeah I've used horse like twice total

Group dialog is pretty cool. Iron bull called out cass for checking out my "inquisi-butt" (she's my gf). Also vivienne giving pointers to cass on how to be more feminine. Small shite like that adds a nice touch..they don't reuse lines often either.

Deluxe edition gives you some starting items and a couple of pieces for Skyhold. I got it but really I don't feel it was worth the extra $15.00. Maybe if they had included a early shop like in DA2.

Nightmare is not really seeming much different from Hard. I have been having to run Cass-Blackwall and rotating the 3rd for hard stuff. But if you made it through hard, you learned enough to make it through NM without it becoming frustrating.

Have fun man I'm on my second play through and having even more fun. I intentionally skipped stuff so the second time would be just as fun

I only did a few main quests on first 105 hours then started a new toon.

The Hard difficulty is definitely making this play through more interesting.

Christmas festivities are over. I have tomorrow off.

Game time!

I'm definitely mad at myself for not completing it on hard. The only challenge I've had is bears at the beginning of hinterlands and a dragon three levels ahead of me.

Is the frame rate during cutscenes on Xbox One terrible for everybody?

I am now level 17 and not even done with Exalted Plains yet, almost done with it though. I still have to do Western Approach. I might be level 35 when I finally get done with everything.

nice. Yeah I did the same thing really. . Over leveled like crazy cause I was playing on Hard. Makes the inquisition quests easier for sure. And the high dragons with their sweet loot

Western approach will be pretty quick for ya. EdL and hissing wastes are the best zones in the game imo.

Leveling slows down once you hit 20

Leveling slows down to a freaking crawl at 20. I did 48/50 achievements on my first playthrough being as thorough as possible and only hit 24.
