I have never felt like I was grinding. I never did something multiple times just trying to get a level to pass a certain point. I played EQ for a decade so I know what grinding is. At no point in DA:I was I forced to gear up/level up. Maybe if I decided to knock out all of the main quest line without doing anything else I might find myself in a tough spot, but even on NM I was able to unlock Skyhold at level 8 with no trouble (after I found that potion box by the Envy demon )

It was fun back in the day, find a good group park somewhere and chain pull, chat, get, drunk, and generally have a good time doing it. I miss the old EQ community.

Really the only grind is picking the herbs and rocks.
And even that is pretty quick, especially with the patch showing you where they are. Not like an annoying animation that lasts forever. Looking at you Skyrim mining.
I played Runescape so I really know what grinding a crappy game is all about.

Dude, Runescape, I was maxed out at making arrows in that game.
That was grinding. Walk in a circle cutting trees and making arrow shafts for hours.

Normally 120+ hours into a game I have more money than I know what to do with. I'm still broke as shite

I just bout 20K worth of schematics and I still have 25K. Schematics and the low end crafting mats are about the only thing to spend money on.

Where do you buy stuff like that?

Influence. I think I bought about 4 levels of influence on my first play through.
I pick everything up and sell it so I probably had more cash on hand than folks who only pick up worthwhile items. I'm a pack rat. If I see it, I pick it up.

You can get it in val Royeaux.
Once you unlock Skyhold, a new store opens opposite the little cafe area.

Has anyone bought the "Mysterious Box" from the Val Royeaux Merchant for $10,000?
Is it worth my time?

I bought about 8 levels of influence a while ago, but I'm like you I just click "take all" and move on. I've finally gotten to the point that I will allow myself to walk past elfroot.

Can you imagine if you could grind levels off mobs? Fallow Mire, especially the one spot (you know the one) would get you to 30 in about 5 minutes .

Was it? I bought the box and did the war map mission for it but never really looked into it past that.
