Yea, I don't think you will like this Gardoki. Just from hearing you talk the last few weeks.
As for me DAO was one of my favorite games of all time. I could not be more pumped.
Discovering the Broodmother in Hells Deep was one of my favorite gaming moments. I managed to stay away from spoilers so far, so I won't post in this thread much on release but yes.

You won't have to use the tactical camera if you are good at preparing and you are not on the harder difficulties. But I find the tactical camera much more enjoyable.

Why is that? There are things that I know I like about it but I do worry that I will get bored in combat. I liked KOTOR but I also love Star Wars.

If I remember correct, I had to use "the wheel" to select spells, or set up some kind of spellcast sequence, or "tactics" , to succeed in combat.

That is the thing. I think you will be bored with it. This game more about a deep story, tactical combat, and plenty of dialog.
Just doesn't seem like your taste. If you liked KOTOR you should like it though. Didn't you also say you don't like medieval fantasy? I could be mistaken.

I did say that. I loved that setting a while back but haven't in a while. I may jump back in to origins and see if it clicks for me again. Looks like I'm skipping Assassins creed because it's crap again. Kotor may not be a fair assessment for me because I'm a big Star Wars nerd.

Does it have the iso top down view on console? Also, can you pause and command like DA:O? I really hated 2 and if it doesn't have those things then I probably wont play.
