I usually recover pretty well from losses... after all, it's just a game, right?

But this one makes me angry because it was the result of stubbornness to a fault.

Somebody needs to get it through his thick skull that we can not overpower our way to a championship. That same somebody needs to learn how to teach and inspire his quarterbacks to success.

We controlled the ball for a significant portion of the game... did anybody get worn down? Did we impose our will?

How about trying to fool somebody every now and then? How about making a linebacker wonder who's going to get the ball? How about making the defense take some to time to think before they react? How about bringing this offense out of the stone ages?

Thirteen points by Alabama should have gotten them beat by at least ten points. Anybody who blames Chavis and the defense for this one is a DUMBASS, capitalized for emphasis.

The game plan worked until a kickoff out of bounds with 50 seconds left. As usual, you're a dumbass.

Check your reading comprehension skills dumbass. The offense did enough to win.

I could also say that our defense didn't do enough to win

I was sure after the 2013 Bama game where we lit them up for 299 yards through the air that we'd at least attempt something different for this 2014 Bama game.

Nope.

I never verified this ... but, did Bama only have the ball in the 3rd quarter for 18 SECONDS ?

If yes ... then shame on us for blowing it.

2011, 2012, 2014. Make it fricking stop. We can't even beat them in our own stadium.

That's a misleading statement. Puts blame on the D who was the only reason we were in this game. O didn't do enough as they should have had more points on the board to suppport the level in which the D played.

Yeah this one hurts worse than 2012. Oh and to the OP this is not on Miles. I just hope these young men can regroup and not let those damn piggies add insult to injury.

Rex, I share your pain, but we had a chance to win the game by playing defense the last minute or so like we played the first 29 minutes of the second half.
I still see disagreement as to what happened, but the defense on Bama's game-tying drive failed badly.

Almost all our worst losses under CLM have had that same connection - 1/9/12 and regular season 2012 vs. Bama comes to mind. I say almost because I'm also remembering one or two where poor clock management was the culprit - see a recent Ole Miss loss.
