Parents 50th wedding anniversary coming up early next year.

I was going to take them for Chef's Table at Commanders but found out it is booked solid through June.

Has anyone been to R'evolution and/or done their Chef's Table?

I thought revolution was really over rated, went in August and had the stuffed quail gumbo, fried oyster salad and trio of quail and was not impressed, can't remember what my wife had but she disliked it enough to not even finish the plate.

I know some on here have raved about it so maybe I just had a bad experience, went on a Tuesday for an anniversary dinner.

Eta: just regular dinning room experience not chefs table

Seems to get mixed reviews for regular restaurant dining. I had a terrific experience there in April as the other 3 folks with me, other than finding the duck dish a wee bit dry. Everything else was A+. I think the chef's table there would be fun to do, myself, particularly if that's something your parents would enjoy. I haven't seen anyone else mention it here.

Yeah I had a terrific experience last February. We were in the wine room and ate for 4 hours straight. Finally said no mas! They actually had a TV set up so we could watch the Super Bowl. Death by gumbo

I've done the chefs table at Commanders several times and I've always done it on a Thursday night. If you are flexible they may have an off night available. I can say, it is very much worth it. We have paired a couple times but mostly we just bring a bottle or two of wine and order several.

No experience with Revolution chef table but I've had lunch there a few times and enjoyed it. You could do a lot worse.

I've also gotten the small room upstairs at Bayona a couple times and it's very nice and intimate.

I've been a few times, though haven't done the chef's table.

I've had both really good and ok meals there, but I would bet the chef's table would be really enjoyable.

It was. We did the half marathon earlier that day. A few drinks and we were feeling no pain!

We have a Seafood Revolution opening up here in the a few weeks. Anxious to try it.

I'm anxious to hear about that one, also. I love marathon dining with cocktails, but I don't run marathons. I'm better at the seated marathons.

Our meal there was less than impressive. However, I do think that their bar is fantastic.
