In comparison to the 2012 Presidential election, are you more / less / no difference in confidence level that the Republicans will claim a majority in the Senate vs how confident you were about Mitt Romney's chances against Obama?

Please answer with more, less, or no difference and how confident you were of Mitt / are of the current Senate races.

More. I thought it would be an upset if Mittens pulled it off. I think it'll be an upset if the Jackasses hold the Senate.

Fiist let me say that I liked Mitt's chances until Sandy hit and he had to let off the gas and Obama did not blow the response (i.e. Bush in 2005). I kenw it was over the when Christie praises Obama, but what was Christie suppose to do in that situation?

I would say that I am fairly confident that the Republicans take the Senate back and I way more confident in a R win in 2014 than I was in a Mitt win in 2012.

However, I find it funny that the dems can lose 6 seats but still win. Thats some damn gump math right there.

As much as it pains me to say: Do not underestimate the republican's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I assume you are saying they would gain at least one Republican-held seat while losing those 6, thus the GOP net gain would only be 5 and thus the Dems keep the Senate?

I have but I have to admit that I haven't followed the races as closely since they are in other states. I am really sincere in this question as I think it will be interesting to look at expectations in retrospect. I think a lot of people took the 2012 race personally on both sides and this Senate race will be more objective for most.

More here as well although the biased media throws off every perception I've had about the tighter races. Seems like everyday there are different polls with conflicting data from the day before and the day before that.

Exactly. I have never seen anything like it in many decades of poll following.

I am not confident at all. I could see a tie in the Senate, but I do not foresee a GOP majority in the Senate.

I'm as confident about the Republicans getting the Senate as I was of Barack Obama winning in 2012, which is to say very confident.

It's 2006 all over again.

After 2012 I no longer look at polls.
After the people willingly gave the keys to the country to BHO for four more years I no longer trust the American people to make sane looking to the future of the country decisions any more.

I just hope people use their very hard earned right to vote.

I'll believe it when I see it.

The GOP are a bunch of losers until proven otherwise.
