Jr loves his Cricket!! I thought the peep sight might take a learning curve but it was the opposite, he's deadly with it!!

Have you ever shot an S&W 15-22?
So much fun and the adjustable stock makes it fit kids.

I had a thread about the crickett I just bought, added a 4x30 scope and the whole rig was less than $150 with mount and rings. It shoots great and my 5 year olds can shoot it. It's what I'm using to teach gun safety/accuracy and was great in the one session we had last week.
Isn't the savage more expensive?

My sons have the savage rascal and it too is a great shooting little gun. They love it.

Never held the Savage.
But I can tell you the Henry Youth rifle is 10x better than the Cricket.

If you can find one, I highly recommend a CZ Scout. My kids have one and it's a great shooter. I put a Nikon rimfire scope on it. A dime can cover a 5 shot group at 50 yards with CCI ammo.
