Was he impaired or was the he was acting due to head trauma from the accident? Bizarre that he kept saying "I wasn't driving". It was almost as if he convinced himself that was the case.

Now that I've read most of the details, I'm starting to think he had a medical issue which caused him to lose control of his vehicle.

What kind of medical issue? It was already rumoured it was a drug deal gone wrong. His speech was pretty slow and slurred.

Seizure, heart attack, lack of required medication, too much of a required medication, etc.
Could be any number of issues but know one will know until the toxicology report is released.
