Poor girl ... I'm guessing she/fiancé have no clue about TD.com otherwise they NEVER would have said squat about their wedding/Bama game being on the same day.

Oh, the wrath of the OT.

Thought I'd share this after my wife just read the article. One of her good friends from Grad School has no affiliation with college football wants a fall wedding for next year. The bridesmaids who do care are from LSU/UF/UGA. She found a Friday before a rent a win weekend for all three schools next year so everyone could fly back to the game if they wanted or just watch the game without interruption.

It's in Denver. So we were missing work no matter what. And I don't care about using vacation...I never take enough days off anyways.

Selfish on the bride's part.
49-50 Saturdays in a year and they pick LSU home game vs the one team that matters.

Selfish.

I know a Tulane-UNO couple that got married the day of the '98 LSU-Bama game. They're still doing well.

If I ever find the right woman I'm going to go against the Iron Bowl. I figure that will avoid hurricane season and get us a good deal on the reception. Plus none of my besties are particularly into college football so it won't be a big deal for them to miss the game.

I think that girl is not a true football fan. The schedule was already out when she got engaged in December. As a person living in the south It's almost impossible not to be aware of when football season starts and ends. She knew and didn't give a shite what the schedule said, she was going to do exactly what she wanted and get married as soon as possible with zero regard for anyone else.

It really pisses me off when people say "oh so a football game is more important than my wedding?" I got news for those women...the world doesn't revolve around you. Expecting anybody, whether they are family or not, to come to a wedding when people already have ballgames circled the day the schedule comes out is just absurd.

When she says NO TVS AT MY WEDDING...That should be a huge indicator (as if the wedding date wasn't already) that football will never matter to her. She doesn't care as much as she tells you she cares. It's a front and you should run right now. These types of women will drag men to baby showers, couples wedding showers and 1 yr old baby parties before she ever says you can go to LSU vs anybody games.

For the record, I got engaged in Feb of 2008 and immediately consulted the SEC schedule. Mriluv is an OleMiss guy so I had two schedules to plan around. My showers were on away games and i was specific that there not be couple showers bc let's be honest, men hate that shite. Our Baton Rouge engagement party we actually planned it out to be a tailgate engagement party for the LSU OLEMiss game. It was a lot of fun and is a tradition we still carry on 5 yrs later. We were married the weekend after the SEC championship in december. So I don't feel sorry for that woman one little bit.
