Showers are boring for all parties involved,

You've been going to the wrong showers Most showers I've been to either revolve around some game, or a crawfish boil or BBQ. It's also a good time for the families to get together and get to know each other. I don't think you've considered that aspect.

All the ones I've been to like that are couples showers. Which I still wouldn't do, but I am much more tolerable of.

Bridal showers are Sunday afternoon cackling hen parties. Not my thing.

I don't know if I ever told you, but at KJI's jamboree, BBrou brought "Hello My Name Is _____" nametags. And I made Jones' say "LNCHBOX". He wore it all day/night.

No food until after the first dance....wtf? With pictures that could be 30-45 minutes after the ceremony

Yeah that's a long time to wait. We had our guests go ahead and eat if they wanted while we took pics(buffet style so was easier to just go ahead and let everyone eat/drink when they wanted)

If my fiance wrote on a website meant for my closest friends and family and told everyone I know and love that my favorite shows were American Idol and motherfricking Army Wives (?!?), whether true or not, I'd go ahead and take that ring back to pay for my plane ticket to Belize, where I will obviously have to begin my life anew under a new name and identity, my previous one having been destroyed with no chance of redemption.

That is kinda messed up for someone to write on the guestbook, having said that the Les Miles one is pretty funny.

If you're that big of a football fan, don't have your wedding in the middle of football season.

She has no reason to cry about it. It's her own fault.

I think she took the site down. The link is on the middle of page 17.

haven't read the thread but there's nothing unreasonable or trashy about having a single tv set up at the reception for people to watch it on. I went to a nice wedding in jackson last weekend and they had the Ole Miss/LSU game on outside for the guests since everyone wanted to watch it.

I'm jumping in on page 20 without reading any of the posts but she still should have known better. You don't get married in October or November, especially the 1st 2 weeks of Novemeber bc that's when we typically play Alabama. If she was a fan, she would have known that a year out.

I knew I was getting married in the Fall. Second weekend of December it was. For a reason.

I think someone made a comment about your vagina in her guest book. Then she took the site down. I guess some things are just too much.

- just to clarify that is actually what happened, not a guess. First there was a funny Les Miles comment, then people complaining about lsunurse talking nonstop about her wedding , then someone was bashing the wedding plan and her husband, then lsunurse was talking about her wedding, then a comment about trees signed by Harvey, then a comment about putting her guests in her vagina signed by Paige.

In case anyone missed it

I gave my wife a list of dates after the SEC Championship and before bowl season. We got married on Dec21 of last year.

Also once we said I do the guests made their way to the reception and started eating and partying. We showed up later to a happy and full hall of guests.
