Like I said, there is no pleasing you at all. I should have stopped responding to you earlier, but you're just too damn funny.

We didn't play it out and say that the #4 seed lost. You said that being #4 when they announce the playoff isn't great. That's just absurd. They're one of four teams with a chance to win it all.

Would you call 2012 ND great? They were 1 of 2 teams with a chance to win and they got cornholed by bama. That's not greatness to me.

We get it. No matter what expectations you have going into the year, only one team is great in your eyes. Congrats on the narrow mind.

I'm sorry I don't consider second place great.

Peyton Manning lost the Super Bowl. He was only pretty good last year.

I like how a team sucks or is over-rated after LSU beats them.

We're talking about teams here so you being up an individual player. Makes sense.

So he was great in that game then? Or maybe he had a great year even though he didn't win it all?

Be careful, you're painting yourself into a very small corner mighty quickly.

Yea it makes way more sense than you comparing football teams to individuals applying for jobs with unsatisfied HR reps or whatever the hell that was earlier.

Each to our own, but 2011 was one of the greatest seasons in LSU football history.

When 13-1, 9-0, and #2 in the nation isn't seen as a "great season", I'm afraid some of us have lost touch with SEC/college football reality.

No, I'm not. I'm talking about teams here and y'all are now talking about individual players, it's apples to oranges.

You can have a great player that never wins a championship or a player can have a great season without winning a title. Rarely ever does a great team not win the title.

Meh, I don't care. We got throttled at home by MSU and then titty slapped by Auburn. We don't deserve to be top 10. Yet.

We have every opportunity in the world ahead of us in terms of getting respect this season. If we hadn't shot ourselves in the foot so much against Ole Miss we would have had a more convincing victory and things might be different.

Like I said, we still play Alabama next and have a outside chance to get into the playoff.

Well said. The media is back in control of CFB and they do not want to let that go.

My only issue with LSU being at 19, is Oklahoma being at 18.

Because we're all trying to endure this two week dead zone of LSU football.

With 2 losses, the rankings are irrelevant for LSU right now. Now if they win out and the 4 teams above them all lose a game or two, it could get interesting. I saw an article online today which was the rankings per the old BCS formulas which had them at 13. Win the next three before we worry about rankings.
