Not the final score on one of those.

You saying the MSU game wasn't lopsided? I'm sure you watched the game

I did watch the game, and it was lopsided for 3 quarters. A full game is 4 quarters. LSU nearly came back in the 4th. LSU lost by less than a touchdown. What if LSU scores on the 1 yard line on 4th down rather than getting stopped?

It never left. It was 2/3 of the BCS, but now I guess it's 100%.

I honestly think we would have won. Most of the second half was actually decent.

Other than two bad plays (both TDs), we played good defense the last 2 1/2 quarters. The offense was OK before and after halftime and then not again until the 4th quarter. I'll never understand why we acted like it was against the rules to run outside the tackles though, especially early on.

So you watched that game and you're going to claim that MSU did not let off the gas and just try to coast to victory? That game could have been much worse had Mullen kept his foot on the gas like he did the very next week against Auburn.

I don't think it'd be as bad now, but we don't get do overs.

What if Mullen has a killer instinct for 4 quarters like he did against Auburn? What ifs go both ways, and it's silly to try to use them as an argument. The bottom line is MSU dominated us for 3.5 quarters and then let off the gas.

You've got to be kidding. LSU beat Ole Miss every bit as badly at Auburn beat LSU. The final score did not reflect how one-sided it was.

See what I did there.

It doesn't matter. In the end LSU was within a Hail Mary to win the game just like Ole Miss was and look how that turned out for them.

I don't understand the need some seem to have to see the State game, the 60 min. game, as LSU getting destroyed. Sure, the 1st 45 mins was a walkover for State, but game wasn't.

For whatever the reason, LSU staged a serious comeback. Just cause we didn't complete the comeback, it doesn't mean one wasn't one the verge of take place.

I don't see LSU winning out or climbing over 15 teams to get to #4, so their ranking right now is not a big deal to me.

Having said that, there are teams ahead of LSU in this poll that makes little sense to me. It also seems clear that it's all bout L's and less bout SOS.

That to me, at this point, says playing the Wis. or Oregon's or the TCU's and so on OOC little makes sense.

YA, I'm with you. While it's a "fun study", and interesting to talk about, the vast majority of what is talked about will shake itself out.

How could you not? It's not like we were within one score the entire game.

Probably not.

There will be butthurt of epic proportions, and probably rightfully so.

The glaring problem I have with this whole system is a simple issue like this:
Lets suppose #1 LSU beats #2 Bama ala 09. Let also suppose its one of those UGA years where they end up top 5. So say a #1 LSU has to play a #3 UGA in the SECCG while a #5-6 Bama sits at home. Suppose LSU wins.

What does the committee do here? Do you seed Bama as their only loss is to the #1 team in the country? And UGA's reward for having to play the #1 team in the country on the last week of the season? Do you put them in? How messed up would it be for Bama to get in and UGA to not? Then begs the question would the committee have the balls to put 2 or more SEC teams in here?

And if this is the case, what is LSU's reward for winning their conference? Having to play 2 teams they already beat?

ANARCHY!!!!

Having us ranked so low just shows me that it'll be near impossible to get into top 7 or 8 even with winning out. If they have us ranked so low after a win against an undefeated Ole Miss, I don't see how beating a 1-loss team in Bama, then a 2 possibly 3 loss ATM, and Arky will give us that big of a boost.

People in front of us have to lose. We knew that before these ranking came out.

I mean, does anyone seriously think we deserve to play for a national championship this year? Even if we win out?

I mean, if we continue to play well, win some games, win the bowl game with this crew of underclassmen, everyone should look back on a very successful "rebuilding" year that most teams in the country would die for as their best year. Plus, we are going to be stacked going into next season.

The sky is not falling, the decline isnt real. But, even if the chips fall out, we shouldn't feel slighted or upset that we dont get in the playoff.

That makes no sense when talkin' bout comebacks.

The LSU players, for whatever the reason, pretty much stormed back from getting their arse handed for 3 qts. to them to playing for a win in the final min. of the game.

I'm not overlooking the 1st 45 mins. of crap piled high, but a game is 60 mins and not 45. If your want to ignore what LSU did in the final quarter of the game that resulted in a 5 pt. loss rather than a 24 pt. loss, knock yourself out.

But when my team is driving to take the lead in the final min. of the game, I am not gonna see that as we got "destroyed" for the game. It's called be able to see the good and the bad as opposed to just seeing the bad.

So, had Harris completed that last pass, does the victory not count as much because LSU got their asses handed to them for 3 quarters before storming back?

If we beat Bama, we'll make it into the top 12 (maybe top 10) with a ranked aTm still on the schedule.

So we have time to get back into the fold, maybe not the playoff but hey, you never know.......
