Fear will always win out with these people. It is like the person throwing a fit for an antibiotic prescription when they have a cold. Facts don't matter. An unnecessary quarantine makes them feel safe.

Yep. That's what the doctors in Dallas who contracted the virus thought too...they understood exactly how Ebola works, and somehow still got it.
they got it b/c they didnt know what the frick they were doing due to the hospital giving not one frick about the repeated warnings to train their staff about Ebola. They didnt even have hazmat suits.
They did NOTHING right in the early going.

How many of those contagious diseases have a greater than 50% mortality rate?

How many of those contagious diseases have a greater than 50% mortality rate?
Or not contracting ebola from an asymptomatic person?

Irrelevant points but to answer from a public health policy perspective which is the central matter in play...its clearly a disease such as ebola with a greater than 50% mortality rate

Irrelevant points
If she's asymptomatic, she's not contagious. So your question has nothing to do with this situation.

Saw pic of her house. It all makes sense. She lives in a shite hole. 2 story hut basically. 21 days in that beige box would seem like hell.

I'd so welcome that. I'd even tell my wife that the CDC said her and the kids couldn't be around me, whether that's true or not. Then I'd become the best FIFA and NBA 2K player ever as I'd play for 21 days straight!

Whats ebola's mortality rate in a modern healthcare system? Since 2000, there have been 13 cases in the US (5 prior to Duncan that nobody knew or cared about, Duncan, the 2 docs from august, the 2 TPH nurses, the CNN cameraguy, an unnamed person at Emory that was released last week, and now the NY Dr) so far 1/13 have died in the US. So mortality rate in a country that can control is less than 10%.

Ask any public health official and they will tell you that the flu is a much bigger problem in this country.

oh you mean like the public health officials from the CDC, WHO, etc that say a quarantine is not necessary and that travel bans are retarded.

My question is entirely relevant to the situation. Some just cant walk and chew gum...eta, not meaning you specifically.

When she shows symptoms arrange a private flight back to Africa for her and let her receive treatment there.

I find it rather humorous that the NIH and CDC don't know that in the Hell is going on with Ebola, but we have a few message board douchebags who seem to be experts on the subject.

conservatives wanting the government to regulate = priceless
in saying that, i hope she self quarantines, shows that people who go over to help are responsible, and no one else catches ebola

I find it humorous that you feel the need to gloat about your own ignorance.. We know that since she has no symptoms, she's not contagious.
Oh no! She went on a bike ride today! A healthy person went for a bike ride, we're all gonna die!!!!
