is this a bad idea? one of my fingers could probably use like a stitch or two. nothing major so im not going sit at the urgent care with a bunch of ebola infected infants to get them. i feel like ive gotten enough stitches in my day to be able to do it just fine. or should i just glue it?

If you have a barbless fish hook I don't see why you couldn't. Glue is easier if you have it.

Or just bend a sewing needle. Ice the area or use the dental numbing stuff.
Or just superglue.

Superglue and/or butterfly bandages.

I've superglued cuts, haven't ever tried my hand at giving myself stitches, good luck with that.

if you need stitches, have a pro do it. If you don't need them, steri-strips should work

If it needs just one or two superglue will be fine

Wait, can I change my answer.
Stitches, definitely stitches.... and I'm gonna need video.

Whether you glue or suture, the most important thing is to CLEAN the frick out of it first.
I used to do sutures in the field and it gave me fits worrying about post-closure infection. This is why it is a good idea to do it in an ER where you can ensure a clean wound prior to closure.

yea i have. just make sure both sides of the wound evenly match up and each end doesnt pucker up/warp at all. You want the whole thing to lay flat as possible once your done stitching it so you get the best result.
