Here's to hoping the committee throws out the weird logic of the past. I'd love to see OM ahead of BAMA tonight.

For credibility sake, yes. But we all know that's not going to happen.

Don't think we necessarily get disrespected. Just feel that BAMA will always get the benefit of the doubt, more so than anyone else. They are this era's Miami/USC. But I think if we beat them, we'll be in a position to benefit from any bias in their favor. They never drop far when they lose and lazy people love to edge them back up in the polls. But, if we don't lose, they just can't be edged ahead of us.
Agreed. What's going to piss me off is if we finish with the same record as both Ole Miss and Bama, yet we are still ranked lower. We really did get screwed in these initial playoff rankings. I understand that they are looking at the whole body of work, but young teams get better through the course of the season. This young LSU team is a PRIME example. We may even need to beat Bama decisively to get the respect we deserve. I hope that we win by at least 10 points. I believe that would be enough to turn some heads. Hopefully the playoff committee felt a little pressure from the media as well.

but we are by far the highest ranked 2 loss team.

I guess I may be looking at a different poll, but I see where da sooners are ahead of us, and they have 2 losses...

I dislike the committee concept as I have previously posted..but..
if we win out, it will be to our benefit to have a committee and not the"formula" ...
they will be ooing aahing over the way we finished..the losses will be downplayed

I posted that before the playoff poll was released.

Regardless a lot would have to happen for us to get in playoffs. We would have to make it to the sec championship game and win. Then we would need a lot of losses ahead of us.

Did the playoff get extended past 4 teams already? Because if not I don't really see your point.

Sweet satisfaction. I stop and smell the roses.. even if it is not in the Rose Bowl.

Talk about storming a field!

I see your point. Auburn has one loss, to the undefeated #1 team in the nation. Bama's loss is to a 1 loss #7, yet all the talking heads have Bama ahead of Auburn? And Oregon ahead of Arizona St.? The team that beat them? With the same record! makes no sense

I have no problem with SEC teams... We get the chance to PROVE with a head to head. It is Oklahoma ahead of LSU when we were beat by #1 and #3 (at the time)....

The rest of the world is at such an advantage... Like any of the above mentioned teams would not be undefeated in the little 10 or the Pathetic 12.

I, personally, just want to smear aTm and Gumps because of the Louisiana boys who leave us for what they think will be an easier path to glory. LOVE THOSE LA BOYS WHO STAY WITH THE SHIP!!!

I watched Finebaum on SEC network today for the first time. There was absolutely NO, I mean NO discussion about the upcoming Bama game against LSU. It was all about why Bama was not currently ranked in the top 4 by the committee and would it be best for Auburn or Ole Miss to win/lose this weekend. WTF? I sure hope the Bama players are looking past us like their fans!
