Go see a doctor, could be a nasty ear infection and you need antibiotics

Exactly, especially if he is saying he has lost hearing out of one ear and he is having headaches.

This. What you are likely feeling is fluid trapped in the middle ear, commonly caused by a blocked tube. The doc will stick an otoscope in there and take a look to diagnose. Easy day even if you don't dig doctors. Believe me on this, as the veteran of a lifetime of ear problems, you will be much happier going in now than dealing with the ungodly pain of a serious ear infection if you let it go.

Go to a real ENT.

I had ear problems once and got misdiagnosed by an after hours clinic.

It can be a bacterial or fungal infection or something else.

Hope you get better.

Good call, seeing a doctor is the last thing you want to do in this situation.

50% white vinegar, 50% alcohol. put those drops in your ears 3x a day. Once your ears start peeling from the alcohol, you can switch to straight vinegar or use water instead of the rubbing alcohol.
