He has been named 1 of 15 players as semi-finalist for the award.

I'm shocked by this. I'm a Martin defender, but he just isn't good enough to be a semi-finalist.

He gets a lot of shite on this board for missed tackles, but mills has missed just as many. Mills is the 5th rated db according to Mcshay and he's had a better year than mills.

Leads the team in PBUs and tied for the lead in INTs. 2nd Most tackles of any DB in the SEC with 49 only behind collins at Bama with 50.

A lot of people on here see what they wanna see

Good for RM. He had a tough year 2013 with injuries and the loss of his dad. He really has played well in 2014.

does he actually start. thought adams was starting in his place along side mills. maybe mills starts in place of lamar Louis who has had a awful year.

Pretty sure we play 3 safeties and that Louis is a backup linebacker.

Martin def starts....

Mills is the guy that is losing PT. He's pretty much the nickel back now because of DT being hurt.

Mills and Martin are the starting safeties...but the way Chavis has been mixing it up, "starting" doesn't mean much

In base 4-3 it's Martin and mills with Louis at OLB. In nickel one of mills/Adams plays nickel and other plays alongside Martin. In dime mills and Adams both shift down and Jefferson and Martin are at safety.

I believe mills played nickel more last night with Adams at safety

Also Martin has been playing great this year. Where you see him struggle is typically open field tackling in space, and in man coverage deep. He has played very well in underneath coverage and deep zone coverage

Pretty sure Martin and Jefferson "started" the game, but as already mentioned, this doesn't mean anything really.
