They had these two douche bag GB fans behind us, and they were talking serious shite. I mean constantly talking about how amazing Rodgers is, how shitty the Saints are, heckling. Well the Saints start to dominate and Rodgers gets a questionable roughing call and a fan screams "Oh lord what a pussy". They start acting all offended and try to mouth off to the guy. It was pretty funny.

Who cares what the talking heads will say. Unlike opinionated votes as in college football. The record is what determines the playoffs. I just wish Aaron Rodgers would have put up another TD so I could have done better at fantasy football.

Everything I've seen or heard today everyone is acting like it was only because Rodgers tweaked his hammy that we won that game. Which is so far from the truth. Even McCarthy said in his post game interview that they changed their whole game plan and it effected the outcome of the game.

I think people would be astonished to know how many people write about games they didn't watch, music they didn't hear and movies they didn't see

who cares? it's a convincing W.

Mike McCarthy said that he felt like there wasn't any good defense played last night by either team.

I get him being critical of his own team but I thought the Saints defense was pretty tough against the run.

Lacy really only hurt the Saints on dump off passes underneath.

their O-line got away with some holds I thought. I mean I guess everybody does but I swear I noticed it more last night.

LINK

quote:

"I don't think they slowed us down at all offensively," McCarthy said after his team fell to 5-3 with a 44-23 loss to the Saints at the Superdome. "I don't think a whole lot of defense was played here tonight, but they got the turnovers."

I agree that they drove it on us for most of the game but it was pretty clear which defense was playing with more fire. The difference in the game was that the Saints could run it on Green Bay and they really never tried to.

13 attempts for Lacy. That aint shite.

and the Saints kept the Packers out of the endzone for a good while after the early score by Cobb. Green Bay didn't score at all in the 3rd quarter.

I'm calling bullshite on McCarthy's claim that the Saints didn't slow them down defensively.

I agree, we also held the number 1 wide receiver in the game right now to 3 catches for 25 yards

lacy was running hard and looked good, the problem is gb's offensive line is shite.

lacy is breaking more tackles and has more yards after contact than last season, problem is contact starts 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage

1. Why does that matter? Like at all?

2. We scored 44 points, I doubt anyone was saying if Rodgers didn't get hurt we would have lost.

he just had a tight hammy and it in no way impacted his performance. Only a flamer like Rodgers would run for a 16 yard TD and then right at the 1 with no one around him start putting on a show
Cause no other player has ever done that?

plenty players over sell it

just given his comments about offseason activities and the distractions that the "all access" NFL provides made me think he keeps it the realest...guess not...that was a total phony move

He was awesome, but he felt pressure to score everytime, and he started forcing the issue instead of playing like the most efficient QB in the NFL

This exact reason is why I continue to advocate stock piling talent to make offense more of a juggernaut instead of gambling on first round corner. Consistently finishing drives will put as much if not more pressure on opposing offenses as a couple of defensive upgrades.

Obviously he got hurt but it wasn't that bad. He had a rushing TD after all.

The funniest part was, no defensive player was running at home on that run. They just let him have it.
