Also sacked the least compared to anyone with comparable playing time.

frick all the haters. Drew is our quarterback for another 3 years. GTFOver it.

Side note, Ingram is on pace for right over 1000 yards with a 5.7 ypc. Lock this dude up another 4 yeas.

The play on the OLine was night and day. Hopefully they keep it up and prove it's not a fluke. Granted Brees is the least sacked QB, so much of that is a credit to his elusiveness in the pocket.

Maybe a few of his picks are due to trying to make something happen not trying to take the sack. Win some and lose some

3 more full years of playing, he will be right under Favre's all time yards. He will need to have a hell of a finish and year next year to pass Marino. Most likely he'll do it early 2years from now.

I'm not sure why no one has suggested that Brees only play the home games and we bring in a ringer to play on the road so he doesn't get beat up.

still averaging 313 yds on road, he just likes to throw it to all teams on the field and get everyone involved in the passing game.

When you've done what he's done, as consistently as he's done it, the expectations are through the roof. About 26-27 NFL teams would cream their pants to have Drew Brees as their QB.

question is at what price? And has the light truely come on? Or is this a fluke?

Still think he shouldn't be paid over 1.5 mil otherwise we'll continue with the committee approach. If he can be the featured back (20+ carries per) maybe he's worth the 2 mil. He's still very injury prone

If the Saints don't see the opportunity to get a coveted no brainer QB (high 1st rounder) like the Colts did, I think you continue to ride him even if his skills slowly dwindle. 80% Drew is still better than half the leagues starter at their best.

like um market RB price in their prime. It won't be cheap but he's legit.

not a fluke, he's always had the talent, he's finally put it together and has gained the confidence.

I agree, he seems injury prone that you go...wtf, he did get injured?

1.5mil/2mil is less than a player like Dexter McCluster (3mil).

Ben Tate signed for 3.1mil
Toby Gerhart signed for 3.5mil
Reggie Bush signed for 4.0mil

I don't expect him to be top 5 paid, but 1.5mil/2mil is way underpriced. He's going to get a decent 3-4mil contract if he finished the year with a solid ypc (~5.0ypc) and 1k+ yards (he's on pace for it).

There's a difference between those guys and Ingram, and I'm a big Ingram supporter.

Each one of those guys: Lynch, Forte, Charles, McCoy, and Gore all had produced multiple solid seasons for their respective teams before their big contract. All of them also play in an offense where they actually run often as well. Unless we do, don't expect us to fork out 6mil/yr for Ingram.

I'm want to keep him, but if some team offers him top 10 RB money (5.1mil+), they can have him. We just can't pay a RB that money when we don't commit to the run enough.

not sure that's very accurate about lynch. he had 3 years of not much before his 1200 yard season w/ seattle. if you believe in ingram, 6-7 mill a year is a solid investment.
