About to be a peasant and order an Xbone for Sunset Overdrive. The SO bundle doesn't come with a Kinect. How much will I truly be missing out on?

if youve never used one, i could see it not being worth it.

i couldnt go back to not having it though. it's how i turn my xbox on and off every time as well as controlling the volume for my tv. its cool for selecting stuff on netflix and skype without ever having to find or use the controller.

that's about all i use it for and doesnt seem really worth the 100 extra dollars but im glad i have it. plus with all the sweet halo skills im about to unleash i will get a TON of use out of the "xbox record that" feature

the only think i dont like is it has to sit out in front of or above the tv and its not tiny. i wish it was smaller, im kinda a minimalist and dont like the clutter

I use it for quick changing of channels and recording cool stuff that happens. You aren't missing much tho.

I love kinect for little dumb things. I get up to go piss while watching netflix I just say xbox pause then xbox play when I get back. Or go to whatever game or channel.

I feel like if you never had it you wouldnt miss it i guess but now that I have it I couldnt go to not having it.

The new update seems to have made the Kinect operate a little better. I don't have to scream for it to turn on anymore.

Do you like talking to your TV?
Are you too lazy to use your controller?
Do you want an always on camera tracking every movement in the room?

If you're like me and answered No to each of those questions, then you don't need one. I traded my kinect in towards my Destiny PS4 bundle. I tried it out when I first got my Xbox one but after that trial period, it remained unplugged and in my closet until I traded it in. Some may like it, but I'm fine with doing what I need to with the controller.

TL:DR version, You're not missing anything.

100 extra dollars

In this case, it is more than just $100

$100 for the Kinect version + $60 for the game = $160 more to get the Kinect version and a copy of Sunset Overdrive

If you never get it, you won't miss it.

I appreciate the convenience of kinect commands for basic things like party maintenance, pausing video, and volume adjustments. since i've gone pretty much all digital, I enjoy loading up games through voice commands.

it isn't anything earth shattering, but if you want to embrace your inner lazy bastard and yell at the xbox to do your bidding it may be worth your while.

also, I'm on the sunset overdrive pain train. chaos squad, anyone?
