I sit in 214 and every third down for Ole Miss, the scoreboard operator would kick on Mobbin by Grandtheft or some other bass heavy song. It gets the fans totally hyped and the players feed off the noise. About halfway through the fourth quarter, they played the first :30 of Turn Down For What and when the bass dropped it was people bouncing and screaming and throwing their hands in the air while the players were jumping on the field getting turnt, all the while Wallace was trying to yell at the Oline.
It's not the bands fault, and a part of me misses the games in which the band was the musical highlight. It's not even 50/50 anymore, it's 70/30 in favor of piped in. But I have grown to like it. Look at our stadium now, it resembles an NFL stadium with the lighting and effects. It's just changing with the times.

Agreed. THe pumped in rap seems to get fans a lot more pumped than "Hey Baby"

Didn't even hear the music because I was too busy yelling between plays.

yea the long turn down for what was cool.
What was up with the speakers on the new side? Could barely hear anything. They must have not had them on.

Agreed but CBS will still force that god awful Georgia Florida line crap onto the SEC

The best was when they played "I'm From Louisiana" after LSU scored the touchdown. That really got the crowd and players going. I've always thought that song was kind of cheesy but damn it was appropriate at that moment.

Never thought I would agree, but it did! I think the band enjoyed it too

I'm a season ticket holder in 214 as well.

I sat on the West side, and I could see directly across the stadium to the East side. There was a kid, had to be 10-12 years old, standing in the aisle jumping up and down. It. Was. Awesome.

That's awesome man, I need to get back to the stadium for a game or two.

The kickoff after our TD was crazy hype with the "I'm from Louisiana" going. I looked at my wife and asked how would a recruit not want to be a part of this?

There is an old dude that sits directly behind me and has been there since I was 12 at the games. He rarely speaks, wears headphones and has binoculars around his neck.....typical baby boomer old man at LSU games. After that touchdown, I turned around to high five him and he was saying "I'm from Louisiana" to the music, I was thinking oh we are on new levels of hypeness in this crowd tonight.
