Why is rushing the field frowned upon by elitists?

Mind you, I was once one of those elitists. I now realize it's just a fun way to celebrate with fans and team.

If it's a big game with serious implications or a rivalry, I see no issue anymore.

it's the students rushing the field, so I see no problem with it

It's only a problem when teams who have been there before do it. When a no name team beats a big time team, it's fun to watch them storm the field

By elitists, do you mean the traditional powerhouse schools like LSU?

People like to pretend sports aren't about fun.

This is why everyone is making a big deal. LSU fans take pride in not rushing the field.

Well, other than the fact LSU is going to get fined for it.

Except it's not the team. Them storming the field was so predictable, it kills me there's this much belly aching.

Barry Sanders is the perfect example. Act like you've been there

just tard "fans" who believe they're more important than they really are. A bunch of has-been, never-was Uncle Ricos.

students are just having fun, its what college is all about; i bet the players loved it too

Act like you have been there before to me refers to be being a class act in winning. No show boating, or being a dick. It does not apply when you are having some good old fun with your team.

What about the ones among us that do not like our university having to flush 25k away?

Kentucky drew a $25,000 penalty for the celebration of a 45-38 upset of South Carolina. Kentucky also was penalized in 2006 and 2007 but drew a smaller fine because its latest offense was more than three years ago.

I have no problem with it. I find it funny that others get so offended. I think it is a lot of fun.

it is not tht it is frowned upon but it is an SEC rule. the opposing players and coaches cant be protected with the mass chaos of fans rushing the fields. That is why the school gets fined. this I think applies to all sports. It may be an NCAA rule as well

Students should be charged .75 cents each.

Add it to the fee bill.
