Just bought an XBox One. How long can I run it at a time?

I don't plan on just having it constantly on, but given how it's described as like the one stop place for all of my media needs, can I pretty realistically just leave it on for 18-24 hours?

It will turn off.

My XBONE and PS4 both go into stand bye mode, but the XBONE eventually turns off. But it still can get updates.

Cool. Cause I just got done with like a 4 hour session of AC4. Now I'm doing Hulu. It'll just turn off if I fall asleep with it on?

It can go a while, the big vent on it allows it to stay cool, unlike the xbox 360

Yeah as long as that vent isnt covered you don't have to worry about it.

I just moved recently, but at my old place it would turn off after an hour or so of not being used.

But, honestly your question sounds more like "can the Xbox handle being used non-stop" and the answer is yes. I don't have cable and obviously game, so mines pretty much always in use when I'm at home. It'll occasionally glitch an app like YouTube that'll force me to cold start it, but pretty much you can't overuse it.

its made to be able to run 24/7, it uses minimal power when watching TV.
