New Orleans high school teacher arrested on juvenile sex charges - updated

A recently fired teacher at Joseph Clark High School in New Orleans was arrested this week on juvenile sex crime charges.
Dominic Lewis, 32, was booked Thursday at the Orleans Parish Prison on two felony counts, carnal knowledge of a juvenile, Louisiana's statutory rape charge, and indecent behavior. The details of the accusations against him were not immediately available.
A detective interviewed Lewis, who admitted texting with students, but cut off the questioning and said he would be seeking an attorney, the warrant says. The 16-year-old was more forthcoming when she spoke to investigators this week.
She told detectives she and Lewis had sex on two occasions: Once, in City Park near Pan American Stadium after a Clark football game, and a second time "on a Sunday in an area near the St. Claude Bridge" in the Holy Cross neighborhood.
Her parents apparently became concerned when the read text messages that appeared to be about the sexual encounters, and went to school officials. LINK
