Says he likes LSU, but we're like USCw, we're just too young. OM 20-17

Rewind to about 11:04a.m. (too late)

Picked Ole Miss, but gave us some props. Not bad.

Obviously a loser pick.

I'm not pissed that he picked them. It's not an unreasonable conclusion. However, if it's that low scoring and that close, I think we win.

Their defense is very good, but it's not an all-time defense or anything.

They held Alabama in check, but it was a home game. And Alabama has shown that they aren't offensive juggernauts on the road this year.

They did the same to an aTm team that got shutout the next weekend against Alabama. Again, impressive. But certainly not a historical feat.

Then they whooped up on a team with absolutely no offensive line.

We'll be either the best or second best power offensive line they've faced all year. And it's on the road. They'll run their 4-2-5 defense and try to rely on their front 4 and linebackers to stop the run on their own. They rotate a ton of D-linemen, so they shouldn't get worn out. But I think we can have success running on them if they don't creep safeties up and stack the box (which they haven't really done all year).

If Ole Miss stays stubborn to their scheme defensively, it could backfire on them. I think we can put up a few scores.

Are you the real Steve Rehage? If so, you are awesome! I was in school when you played and you were one of my favorite players on the team. The hits you put on folks in special teams were epic!

Nice post, and I agree.
People are really overrating Ole Miss like this is some David vs Goliath match-up.

May & Griese did a segment on the game last night, and all they focused on where Bo & ode miss' defense. They literally didn't say a word about LSU until the very end, and it was some perfunctory "should be a good game against the Tigers" bullshite.

Everyone is overlooking us, and I love it.

This is true, but our offense is all time bad at times.

Haven't had it in over a year (when I went to Athens for the UGA game last year) and I hate myself for it. Wish they had one in BR/NOLA

Cowherd is usually a good listen and I don't blame him for the pick. Actually I picked 23-17 Ole Miss but really think the good guys could pull this one out. Putting the hurt on Kentucky gave our guys some confidence but if you look at who UK played, well they were bound to get exposed. In any case it will be a helluva game tomorrow night. Can't wait.

He obviously has not watched LSU this season if he thinks LSU will score 17 points.
