No way she loved the ex's grandma.
Thank you! A sibling or a parent I would maybe understand. But a fricking grandparent? Cmon

Also part of the grieving process. Have you never lost a loved one before? Do you not understand how this works?
Dude its a fricking GRANDMA. Literally every person on the face of the earth who lives to be 40 years of age (but usually 30 or even 20) loses their grandparents.
It's not a big deal.

Dude. Lucas is a massive troll

You just don't understand I guess. Hell, my father gave my grandpa's eulogy and I'd say about 60% had nothing to do with the man who died. It was all about how me and my ex were meant to be together and how God never made a more perfect match.
Most funerals focus on the departed's grandchildren's former relationships. It's just human nature.

Just playing devil's advocate bro. This thread was filled to the brim with good advice (which should have been obvious to the OP anyway). Just had to balance things out for perspective.

Has op not responded to update b/c he drove to post funeral function and caught gf comforting ex?
Posted on 10/24/14 at 3:59 pm to DirtyMikeandtheBoys
There are some heartless people on this board. Now the OP isn't off the hook completely, because he should know that this isn't a place where one can expect level-headed advice. Mentioning anything about a girl will result in pic request and/or some use of PIIHB. I really hate it when people think this is anything but a place to say silly things anonymously.

Dude is probably texting his girlfriend furiously making himself look unsympathetic and making the ex look all the better. OP will always be known as "that guy i dated while we were on a break". Now he gets to explain to his family why the ex won't be on the trip or any future trips. Sorry bro, learn and move on.

No I just know what the OT is, and that a source of trustworthy relationship advice is not it.
You on the other hand sound like you're the type that gets his kicks from casual sex with people you hardly know. Am I wrong here?

Is that supposed to be a bad thing?

She's going for the buried penis

Eh it gets old. Easy women are annoying is frick at all times that your penis is not inside of them.

Only gets old until you're dating a chick and she ditches you and your family's plans, only to go to a funeral for her ex's grandparent.

Haven't read the entire thread but I read enough. You should start fricking her sister and all of her friends right now. You two are finished

I think it is... I would rather have a relationship based on more than sex, which is only one (albeit important) aspect of a healthy relationship.

Your girlfriend is probably just being nice but subconsciously she is keeping a door open for the ex in case she decides he is a better mate for her than you and decides to get back with him.
