Why is the coach getting fined? It was obviously this wild-cannon thug who couldn't follow the rules. I say fine the thug's parents and make him sit AT LEAST the rest of the season.

Lol. Exact opposite in greater BR. Its ruthless here. No minimum playing time rules. Zachary averages about a 50 point margin of victory.

BR has a beard policy, any 8 year old with a beard has to shave. That is the only fine.....

I would let the losers score on purpose just so I could shove another score up their arse.

My sons second grade team beat a couple of teams 38-0 and one team 42-6, but nobody was complaining about running up the score thankfully. At this age, all it takes is two or three players to make a 2-10 team a 10-2 team, so for the most part teams have their up years and down years. The teams are separated by city (within Cincinnati area), but they allow children to play on the team in their city or a city directly adjacent. There have not been too many claims of "recruiting", but some defections to other cities have made for some interesting rivalries.

There is no single bigger issue facing kids today than the need by their parents to raise non-competitive cream puffs. It's okay to want to win, and it's ok to be pissed when you don't. I despise the notion of trying your best and having fun is the most important thing. You know what's fun...winning. This garbage is an insult to our children and their intelligence. How the league thinks it's wise to have a coach instruct kids to take a knee if they get a pick is beyond me. There is no mercy rule in life.

If a team is getting beat 39-0, the league should take a harder look at how they divide up the kids among the different teams

this...i coach in georgia...9-10 year olds...we have the mercy rule...but where i live...the draft is serious business so blowouts are rare...try and manipulate it, they will ban you from coaching for a season...they are as evenly distributed talent wise as possible...and that makes for good competetive football and it also shows which coaches know what they are doing...and those that dont...my team is currently undefeated...

As a coach, neither side is fun to me. We have lost baseball games 26-3 and won 27-2. At some point in a blow out, you just want the game over.

I cringe at coaches that manipulate the rules to get a stacked team. Yeah your kids get to hold up a trophy at the end of the season, but they more than likely didn't progress as players.

yeah im bragging...why not?...i have plenty of slow kids and unathletic kids just like all the other coaches...but i play em all their allotted time and we win...while i look across the sideline at the coach that plays the same 11 all game and loses...doing more with less is something to be proud of...

ok the rule can make sense if for the offense. But defense scores, that should not count.

I wish that college kid who used to post his little brother's pee wee stats as recorded by his dad in Utah would give us some updates on his skillz.
