The U.S. Postal Service ended the 2013 fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2012 – Sept. 30, 2013) with a net loss of $5 billion. This marks the 7th consecutive year in which the Postal Service incurred a net loss, highlighting the need to continue to capitalize on growth opportunities, reduce costs, and enact comprehensive legislation to provide a long-term solution to the agency’s financial challenges.

Expenses in 2013 include a required $5.6 billion contribution to retiree health care benefits that the Postal Service was unable to make. Continued lack of legislation will likely force the Postal Service to continue to default on these payments.

the Postal Service reached its statutory debt ceiling of $15 billion for the first time, and it remains at the limit at the end of the 2013 fiscal year. “Our liquidity continues to be dangerously low and our liabilities exceed our assets by approximately $40 billion,” said Corbett.

No, but I have an electric fence so my dog can roam freely to the front yard. She's a 45 lb 9 year old lab and about as harmless as a dog can be.

Wouldn't it have been more convenient just to go to the store?

I did end up going to the store because I was out of some of the items. I called Amazon and they said USPS will deliver it today. We'll see...

Lazy a-holes. Package can't weigh more than 25 lbs.

SO it wasn't to heavy to be shipped, moved, loaded and unloaded, it just became too heavy once it was time to deliver it.....and they wonder why the place is a dumpster fire losing billions each year?

That place is an organization of losers, run by bigger dumbasses (our gvmnt)

If you think about the financing and infrastructure that existed for the US Post Office and yet it was not able to be competed against by a startup (fed ex) who had to build from the ground up yet still dominates that segment, it really is mind blowing.

I remember one time I had ordered a small desk and it came in like a 40 lb box. I lived on the 2nd floor at the time so instead of using a dolley the a-hole leaves it at the bottom of the building steps to be rained on while I was at work

Left a very unpleasant review so hopefully that taught him

I had a lady that helped me with admin stuff and once a month we did a mailer to our clients. The fat asses at the post office would bitch and moan when we would bring the envelopes to be mailed. I thought my employee was exaggerating, so I went with her one time and they started complaining about the envelopes. I stated and left aren't you here till 5pm so really what's the big deal?
I setup a account with stamps.com and never been back.

I was going to ask if youd contacted Amazon. Let them know, they'll take care of it.

The last package I got shipped by USPS I came home at lunch to get. Waited for the mail lady to come, heard her outside, watched her drive to my mailbox, then drive on. Walked out to get it, had a "sorry we missed you" slip in there. I ran her down and got my package from her. Lazy bitch never even got out of the car to see if I was home.

Did you order it from Amazon? If so, complain to them about how terrible their new contract with USPS is. They suck.

I used to deliver mail for USPS. I delivered boxes that weighed a lot more than 25 pounds.

The point of the Pantry box is so we can be lazy and let the shippers bring us our shite. It is probably less convenient now to have to go to the post office. I would let them sit on it and have Amazon deal with it.

I ordered a 160 lb 3500 watt generator from Amazon overnight shipping $3.99. The Fed Ex chick pulled all the way into the drive as close too the door as possible. I had to help her unload it.

And I'm sure it was dropped about 100 times before it made it to your driveway.
