I agree. The football (NFL) we've known all our lives is going the way of the dinosaur. I've said for years that it's just a matter of time before someone dies on the field.

Yes, there's little doubt in my mind it'll happen.

It's fairly obvious that the human body isn't meant to withstand the stuff these dudes do weekly.

In early 70's IIRC, a Detroit Lion Chuck Hughes died on the field during a MNF game. I think it was a heart attack though.
