Not what I was getting at, that IEP is your legal opening to sit down with the teacher and ODR(principal) and ask why your child isn't receiving his FAPE(look it up). You're allowed to request to reconvene an IEP at anytime, before you do so contact your local Families Helping Families chapter and request an advocate. That advocate will then walk you through every single right you have as a parent of a student receiving SPED services and will even sit in on the IEP with you.
Honestly, a child doesn't need to have an IEP to drag FAPE into it but having an IEP provides you with a quick opening to address the issue.

I feel for you.
But I'm assuming that flatulence doesn't make the teacher assume that the neurotypical kids have soiled themselves by age 11. Whereas with your kid, she would, especially if it has happened before.
But she could just be trying to get your kid out of her class to make her day easier. Do you know if this is a pattern in the way she treats special needs students?

If my son got sent to office for farting, he deserves it. Nasty arse can strip paint from walls.

We had a special needs kid that rippped farts all of the time. We would just call him out on it and laugh about how nasty it was, but the teachers never did anything. They would just tell us to be understanding and deal with it.

He just told me his farts really stink bad,but he comes home with clean drawers and he blamed it on a bad doughnut.

Oh he's functioning pretty well then. I'm sure that this is tough with him, but if you told him it was inappropriate to fart in class, or around other people in general, would he go to the bathroom to take care of business?

believe me there will be a meeting about this cuz all these days are counted against his normal days to miss. My wife is an excellent advocator for my son so much that we brought in a federal advocate when the principal was locking him in a room by himself when he was 8.

I understand that. But then you have to discuss this with his behavioral therapist or whatever therapy he's in so they know that it's a pressing issue in his ability to function.

You are his father. It is Your job to help him function in a neurotypical world. Are you going to complain to his boss when he gets fired because "He just lets them rip." Are you going to complain when no one wants to be his friend or he sits by himself at lunch.
