This is an interesting discussion, nobody on the rant is sold on our QBs, yet when it is obvious the LSU coaches are not either, somehow Les is changing the play calls of Cam.

Everyone knows Harris has a higher ceiling than AJ including the coaches, but the coaches are trying to win the next game. I think they are getting paid to do this. They are are not looking to win next year...they can deal with that (surprise in the spring and next year).

Only at LSU does a coach win over 10 games a year and he is ripped by a significant portion of the fanbase.

Please, give me another example and tell me how that turned out, if the coach was fired. Tennessee maybe, Nebraska maybe, just let me know. I'm very interested to hear from these genius types.

As they should be. I do want to see Harris get quality snaps, but only if and when it makes sense in the context of the game. It's looking like we may lose at least four games this year. I don't want to risk any extra losses so young players (many of whom will be on the field anyway) can have some kind of early spring practice instead of trying to win.

I'm with you guy, I'd like Harris to have a package as well.

By that logic, last year's offense (widely considered the best in LSU history) was also Les Miles' offense.

Yep and what trophy did LSU bring home at the end of the season?

How much better would Mett have been ig he had gotten snaps even earlier in his LSU carreer??

Everyone calling for a more shotgun based, air raid type approach should give it up. Cam is gonna build a successful pro style system based on his personnel. That is what will give us the best chance to win week in and week out for years to come

Your post is one view but reality is much more complex. Our current offensive scheme left us little chance to beat M.S. or Auburn (teams that can score and have decent defenses). Now against Florida (can't score) it is the right scheme.

Physically Jennings is not going to improve much. Improved decision making is Jennings opportunity to get the offense going and I see some improvement but it is a very slow pace.
In our current situation for the short term we need Jennings to run the ball more with quicker decision making. This will give us another threat for the defense to concern themselves with.

We will see.

“You’ve got to take risks in this game,” Mettenberger said. “You’re probably going to misquote me. But to play in this league 10 years, you’ve got to throw it to your guys. Something coach [Cam Cameron at LSU] taught me last year is, I’m the guy with the ball, if I view a guy as open, he is open. So throw it to our guy, away from theirs."

Cam is willing to open up the offense if he believes that his quarterback can handle it. In my opinion, he doesn't believe that either of his QBs this year are ready for that type of wide open offense and so he is doing what he believes gives the Tigers the best chance to win now.
Then recruit QB's that CAN throw the freaking football.

HR was one of the most highly rated "Passing" QB's in the country. Where's he at? He gone. Couldn't run fast enough. Run out of town.

Where's Rivers? He gone. Couldn't run fast enough. Certainly more of a passing threat than AJJ.

Harris may or may not be the answer next season.

MilesBo gonna sink or swim with AJJ. Hark back to the thrilling days of JJ with watered down offense and a dysfunctional passing game.

Mett hit the nail on the head.

Cam didn't recruit Jennings. Try again.

Or they will fricking crash and burn if you make them do too much too early.
J.Lee is exhibit A of that outcome.
