Lol, glad to see the Advocate is jumping on board to bashing our sorry arse fans. Not that it will probably do a damn thing to stop #tDecline into the worst fanbase in the SEC.

I absolutely believed that if half the people who left had stayed, Mississippi State would have been a classic. Instead, it was a near-classic.

Can I get back on your good side if I let you know that I stay the entire game?

If the game is close people will stay. If we're down by 3 TDs in the 3rd it will empty.

And if we're up 17-3 or 10-0 the place will empty

They will leave no matter what. The score is irrelevant because the game is irrelevant to these people who only care about tailgating.

I know it's beating a dead horse, but I just don't get the leave early thing.

You go through all the trouble to get to your seats... wait in line to park, wait in line to get in, a fair amount of planning to actually get to the game....all to leave early?

If it's that inconvenient being at the game, just don't go in the first place.

Same here. Maybe it's because I don't get to go to many games, so it's that much more special when I do.

This has been the case for a few years now, nothing new here.

And not to mention all the money spent.

Just amazes me that so many spend thousands of dollars a year on something they aren't even that passionate about.

No it's not. We have clear evidence of this happening this year already

Sure, you get up on ULM people arent generally going to stay. The #3 team in the country? The only way large factions of people are leaving is if were down 21-0 early.

This is not just an LSU problem. Look at the Saints/Detroit game last Sunday. The fans were exiting early on in the 4th. By the time Detroit scored the go ahead TD, the place was half full/empty.

Its tough to keep the average fan entertained for 3 hours, and most games are approaching 4 hours.

I was at that game, and it was made even more painful by the fact you gave. A huge chunk of the crowd left, and I was in impending win heaven.

Seems like the people who are so concerned with all this are never the "stayers" or "leavers" but rather the "never goers". But I usually don't pay much attention. I'm in the, "it's your money" camp.

And just to clarify, I've missed 5 games in 12 years. I've left before the 5 minute mark in the 4th twice. UGA in 08 I left at half cause I was by myself and I could see my tailgate in the parking lot having a blast( and cause we were getting skull fricked). and the second time was MSU. Left when Jennings got sacked on the goal line.
