Texas nurse to be transferred from isolation
Texas nurse Amber Vinson, who is being treated for Ebola at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, is steadily regaining her strength and her spirits are high, her family said. Her mother, Debra Berry, said doctors can no longer detect the virus in Vinson's body. She will be transferred from isolation, and her family is "ecstatic," Berry said.

I believe they need to see you free of the virus for 3 days before declaring you not sick anymore.

Nina Pham, the other nurse, was upgraded from fair to good condition a day or so ago.

Man, Obama must have been hard at work on the cure.
Today was the Ebola Czar's first day on the job. Man, should have hired him weeks ago!

That just means it mutated beyond our abilities to detect it. Now is the time to freak out even harder.

This.

Unlike Pham, there was initial concern Vinson might not be a candidate for antibody infusion. It's good to hear she's doing well.

Her interviews in the future will be enlightening.

Very good news.

I just hope we're out of the woods with people who weren't obvious contacts. Vinson was definitely at high risk so they were able to treat her aggressively.

Someone who encountered an Ebola patient at a different time and place might not be so lucky. They might think they have a cold or allergies at first and wait to seek treatment until it's too late.

Fun fact of the night: more people have been married to Kim Kardashian than have died from Ebola in the US.

And more black people have had sex with Kim K than have died from Ebola in Africa.
