anyone been watching the remax long drive comp? ...

on golf channel ... yes, i know ... all of you oters are long ball hitters ... deadlifting and hitting drivers 400 yards ... 
...
interesting stories on the competitors, though ... and the drives they hit ...
... some of them don't play golf at all, other than the drive competitions ... several baseball players ... they can bash it ....

i don't see how they repeat those swings several times during a competition ... i'd be in a hospital ...

what balls are they hitting? ... assume it's a top flite or something that runs a long way after landing ...

how they swing so fast and square the club face is beyond me. the ones that play golf must be the shittiest short game players on the earth 
you would think it'd be a monster advantage to have 60-70-100 yards over everyone off the tee

I have a solid 30-50 yards over most people I play with. I assure you, my advantage usually ends right there

It's unreal how they can square the club face. The main issue translating it to the course though is only hitting a couple balls on a massive fairway out of 6. On real courses those players would have so many lost balls.

He's a member at the same place as me and it is an absolute joke how long he is. I can mash the living shite out of a golf ball and I can't hold a candle to him. It's a different universe with those guys.
They said he can only hit his driver 60 times before he has to replace it

He went to school at ULM. He is pretty good friends with a few of us that post here. There was like a 35 or 40 mph wind that was dead into the players face that year.

They would have to keep it in the fairway. That landing grid for long drive is 40 yards wide or something. You don't see that on real courses, they have trees, water, rough, and sand.
