Hopefully this is what finally brings them down. UNC has been getting away with this stuff so far, but now...

I think the whole crew will be here for this one…

This just sounds great. If I knew about this kind of class, I would take it in a heart beat.

Guarantee this happens at every major university with a sports program.

Of course there are going to classes that are easier and classes that are harder, but this is absolutely ridiculous from a well-regarded institution of higher education. Talk about a lack of control.
I hope the NCAA comes down hard, and more importantly I hope UNC alums demand change of leadership.
I love Auburn and I love college athletics, but sometimes I really do wonder if we should scrap the entire college sports system.

This is what happens when sports become the primary focus of certain universities.
But UNC is such high quality academic institution, surely they wouldn't let athletics take priority. That's only what SEC schools do.
thought the very same thing ... at least, that's what this guy was saying ...

I took a lot of bs classes at LSU with a lot of football players. LSU at least has people that check if they are there, one is a pretty hot redhead too.

Disgraceful. Institution of higher learning my arse.

Isn't this why all those guys got suspended in 2010?

Nice "guarantee," though.

UNC fans are really going to miss their sanctimonious "Carolina Way" motto, used to look down upon programs like Kentucky all these years.

UNC may need to leave the ACC - Slive ought to bring them to the SEC and let them start anew

This is awesome.

Saddest thing about this is that he was called to task by one of his own former players who said he knew about it and it got swept right under the rug.
A bunch of advisors will go down and UNC might face some threats of revoking funds on some level but he'll still manage to come out smelling like roses. And UNC fans will still continue to thing their program doesn't engage in the same shite that every other major university does with major sports programs.

Maybe not to the same extent, but they have their problems...
