You two need to have your well water checked annually. Some bad stuff can creap into it.

When we finally build we are planning of going completely off the grid as far as electricity and go with strictly solar energy on a rotating A/B system.

my school has its own power system and desalination system. Water and power here suck without it.

That house is on a couple acres I would guess. Lots of solar panels and gardens. FIL put in a solar panel with no batteries. Electric bill is like 12$ in the summer.
