Our very own border is stricken with violent organizations that are, quite frankly, more alarming than these "rag heads" you guys keep whining about.

FTR, i cant verify the authenticity of the story I posted. It's fairly mild for mexican terrorism so I tend to believe it.

ETA: You realize that if Mexico were a middle eastern country it would be significantly more prone to terrorism and violent crime than the next most violent country, right? During the height of the invasion of Iraq, in the midst of their civil war, Mexico was neck and neck with Iraq in violent deaths.
If you believe that Cartel violence is less of a threat to the people of the United States because they aren't affiliating with Islam, then I can't help you.

I will double post because I am zonked and about to go bed. But... anyone who has set foot on a college campus could make a solid argument it did follow us home. And believe it or not Communism was riding high in the saddle after the Vietnam war with a wave of success in Asia, South America, and Africa. It didn't last long before they folded up their tent I grant you, but the intent was there.
Plus Vietnam loves us now. We might have fought a nasty little war with them, but we went home and left them alone. China will always be next door and they've made invading, occupying, and generally abusing Vietnam, a national past time.
