Deer must have died from a heart attack. No way a .243 brings down a deer instantly.

I've killed quite a few deer with my old ruger .243 Its one of my favorite guns to shoot.

When that young fella is older he will never yield to the 7mm-08 better than .243 discussion. Life long .243'er for sure!

Probably, but that kid will have the opportunity to kill lots more of those with the places he will be hunting.

that's a shame to use that gun, probly won't be anything left to eat, and that poor family was counting on that deer helping them to make it thru the winter

I think I met that kid and his paw at a birthday party, opening weekend of dove season.
