Lots of guys get handed the keys to a nice ride and simply can't handle it, bruh. You act like anyone could have waltzed in here and been successful. Thats just not the case.

Nah man, Saban installed an auto-pilot, anyone can do the job now.

And that's fine... BUT Saban put LSU over the top and Miles has just had to keep it going...FACT.......

How's that working out for Muschamp with what Meyer left him?

Also, I know you're drunk as frick right now and this will breeze through you like a bud heavy, but Miles wouldn't be competing in the SEC west week in and week out at Michigan. He wouldn't need the calibre of players he has here to get them back where they want to be.

Miles would be successful at Michigan. He wouldn't win a NC or anything, but he would have then challenging for the B1G title

Sounds about right

With leftover Saban talent............. Just sayin...............

This is bogus and you know it. Each year the level of Saban's talent and/or influence diminishes and Miles' talent/influence expands.

You still have that faded rose from days gone by on don't you?

That is such an ignorant statement--especially a decade later. If that was the case why didn't UCLA remain "dominant"? Why isn't USC "dominant"? Texas? Florida?

You do realize that Saban went 9-3 his final year hear WITH
his players and his system.

YES he would have trouble..............

No he wouldn't. Michigan had a top 5 class two years ago and top 20 last year with only 16 recruits signed. Three years ago they had the 6th ranked class.

Miles could recruit players to Michigan just as well as Hoke, probably better.

yeah b/c it isn't like people used the Saban angle to negatively recruit against Miles, then 2 years later hes competing for recruits within the same proximity as Saban. DiNardo didn't leave the cupboard bare either. You still have to lead, make critical decisions, too many examples to show that momentum of an earlier regime dissipates quickly

Does anybody really know WTF happened?

Michigan came after Les twice, but he backed off each time. The last time a Michigan plane sat in Baton Rouge two days while the two parties talked, but the plane left without Les. Michigan wants Les, but Les is happy at LSU. Six million might get Les away, but Michigan will never pay that price.

There was a lot of talent (not by our standards now, but compared to an average college football level of talent) from the three winning seasons from 1995 to 1997--19 combined wins in '96 and '97, including the big one over Florida. It was a matter of managing the talent to wins. Some time in the '98 season he lost the ability to do that, although they still played a number of good teams close.

Maybe he has Bo as a headmate, and that's why his head is too big for any hat he wears.

Your kidding right? Miles has proven to be a very good recruiter! And even thougth UM is not the program it has been in the past the school and program has an extremely rich football history. With the right coach, and Miles would definitely be the right coach, they will be back at the top of the Big Ten within 2-3years. And players would flock to him knowing that he would not be leaving UM for any other school. Don't kid yourself if UM is smart this time when they fire Hoke they will back the truck up and pay Miles whatever he wants.
