Caller ID came up with my cell number. I had to answer just to see what was going on.

My own cell number came up ON MY CELL! At first, I was utterly confused. But then I suspected ol' Rachel. I shite you not - have roughly 70 different numbers saved to the contact "Account Services." The contact is blocked so I am only bothered once per number. This has been going on for a couple of years now.
I made the mistake one time of pressing through the numbers to speak to a human to tell them I reporting them to the FTC for contacting me and to stop. The guy said something about sleeping with my mom and then hung up. I think that ramped up the frequency of these calls.

Yeah, you can make any # show up that you want as far as the id goes, but if you look at your bill, it should show the right # that called you.

I was over at an elderly couples house recently and they got a robocall. The robocall's number was masked as the number for the local church they attended.
Their church's name and number showed on caller ID but it was a robocall.
