Addressing the issue of "Harris proved he wasnt ready against Auburn"

When we are doing this, we are deciding to judge Harris in his worse performance. Which to me, seems if we do this we should also have to do the same for the person competing for his position correct? So lets compare worst to worst. 3/14 for 58 yds and no turnovers vs Auburn, compared to 2/5 11 yds and 2ints against New Mexico st. So when you compare each others worse, Jennings worse is actually not as good. So how can we in one breath say Harris "proved" he wasnt ready against Auburn(the number 5 team in the country), and in another breath not say the same about Jennings against New Mexico st(possibly the worse d1 team). It is completely illogical to me. Im not saying there are no arguments for Jennings, I just think this particular argument holds no weight

Jefferson is the qb, harris won't ever play at LSU again baring injury

Your argument might even hold less weight.

I'll never understand that about our fanbase. They say BH isn't "ready" One shitty outting against the runner up to the NC in his first SEC start - yes he was rattled. Does that mean we should shelve him? AJ has had tons of time to get his shite straight and he still plays like garbage yet Miles wants to ride this horse until it's dead.

To be honest, this post wasn't good enough to have its own thread.

I think this whole QB debate is stupid.
Neither one of the give us a good shot at beating good teams and our offense is designed to prevent the QB from having to have a great game to win.
Blame it on youth.
Blame it on Mile's inability to recruit and develop good QBs.
Whatever.
The fact is, we are just flat bad at that position, and even though we all believe BH is the future, he's really done very little to prove that to be correct.

Didn't read the whole thing, but I agree. I think it was pretty silly to write him off like that considering the outcome is probably exactly the same with Jennings in there. Harris is probably the guy right now had that been the case.

I mean if we're going to worst outings....wouldn't 0 for 1 with 1 interception be the worst?

Miles thinks Jennings will make the least amount of mistakes, period. He might not be the popular choice, but he has never looked nervous in any games, not even last season. Harris would be my pick to start too, but only if we lose the next 2 games. Les is not going to scrap 2014 with 2 losses at this point. He is going with the safer of the 2.

Jennings played bad, benched. Harris played bad, benched. Jennings skating by but helping win SEC games, still the guy, for now.
