Uh, 108 teams when, 1992? There are 128 teams now.

The scheme is the same as last year. The problem is that we have a terrible QB who can't complete even the simplest pass with any sort of regularity.

Dandy Don said 108 so there.

Yeah probably not. Auburn blew us out and we still only threw it 24 times.

I wouldn't say we "never" pass, but we don't complete alot of passes!

AJ is 64 - 128 for 50% completions! 13 sacks and 3 INT!

It is what it is and it aint gonna change this season! Deal with it!

There are people on here who think that, I don't know people well enough to tell yet.

Stick with what works. If that is running the ball then lets do that. Just win

Over 16 yards per completion isn't bad. Obviously there are too many incompletions, and a few times he should have thrown incomplete rather than taking a sack. He has limited pocket awareness, it seems.

I'm not willing to say "it aint gonna change." It's college football, it changes every week. Either this or the Alabama game could be when things start clicking. Mettenberger struggled until around this time in 2012. I'm still mad at the coaches for messing up that Alabama game by playing for a field goal, by the way.

True, but we are in big trouble if we can't run the ball. I'm not saying that we need to have an air raid offense, but the offense would flow so much more smoothly if we could use the passing game to soften up the defense a bit and keep them honest.

Agreed. World-class offensive coordinator, though. One of the best all time.

If only Les didn't prevent him from teaching quarterbacks to hit the broad side of a barn.

Then recruit QB's that CAN throw a football into Lake Pontchartrain while standing on the Causeway and that are mentally advanced enough to learn their progressions, defensive reads and can quickly process information.

Our passing game/scheme/philosophy is terrible. It sets a QB up for failure and/or bad passing attempts. When you run it on first, second, and third down even when there's 8, or 9 stacked in the box, and then you expect your QB to complete a 3rd and medium or long, that's difficult for a QB. When the D knows for a fact you are passing it and you have a good distance to pick up, that's hard for most QB's to successfully convert.

Our passing game is horrible. That's a fact.

shite, I won't even comment on our routes/how many eligible receivers there are on routes and the under utilization of the TE and RB's in our passing game.

If some of you can't see that our passing game is shitty, then you must walk around breathing with your mouth wide open.

Agreed, I wasn't bashing AJ, he is doing what he can do. And you are spot on, his pocket awareness is horrible and that is what I was meaning isn't going to change! He has a good deep ball but is very iffy on any other pass! In my opinion he is much different than Mett and not in a good way! JMO

We sell out on the run against ole piss = us getting arse whipped. They will stack the box. I guarantee and if we don't try to throw deep at least once or twice to back them up = arse beatin
Hope if we get them out of the box we can hit short passes to go along with our running game = Win

LES its ok you can use my game plan I don't mine WINK WINK

some of you have seem to have no idea what youre even looking at when you watch LSU, no concept of what Miles and Cameron even want the offense to be. why do you even do it?

The fear for this game and the next is simply LSU will not run very well against these teams...then what. I believe LSU needs to churn out some yards on the ground, maybe break a long one. Same in the passing game...hit a long one or two.

I am getting excited for this one.
