The emergence of Beckwith and Adams has changed this defense.

We're not longer soft up the middle and they're both actually making plays behind the LOS. Beckwith has been all over the field the past 2 games. It's really exciting to think about where this defense goes in the next 2-3 years.

There's definitely a correlation there; that's for damn sure. Beckwith has ridiculous speed for a man his size, and Adams has gotten better & better every game. Seemed like anytime there was a big play on D against KY, 33 was right there.

Yep. I'll start believing if we can stop Bro Wallace QB sneaks....which shouldn't be that hard to do.

You aren't willing to admit that the middle of this defense is a lot more stout with Beckwith in there?

Glad they made the change, the defense is much better with both of them in the game! Alexander also!

I mean even Jeff Driskel got 71 rushing yards up the middle.

We're gonna do bad things to Bo. You'll see. He's long overdue.

Agreed. Can't help but feeling that the presence of Valentine would have meant something as well. Heck, even if he's only as good as DG that would be pretty good. From what I've heard he's already the most disruptive DT on the team. Adams has star power; no doubt about it. Nice to see a five star guy actually live up to the billing. LF has to a lesser extent but the Illinois MLB has been disappointing thus far.

The middle looks stronger but you have to factor in the opponents as well.

Agreed. I am tempering my expectations but hoping we see improvements each week
