Good tent camping sites around mandeville?

We did fountainbleu last trip, had a good time although sites were a little close to each other. Any suggestions?

if you don't mind driving for a couple of hours, I'd recommend Indian Creek south of Alexandria...

There're some primitive campsites at Buccaneer park in Waveland. Closest I know of.

Look at Fairview Campground on Hwy 22 in Madisonville. It is located along the Tchefuncte.

Went and took family pictures at Fairview last weekend and the camping area was PACKED!
Campers and RVs on top of one another and tents on top of tents...
Just a warning that it seems to get packed.

I think Fairview has (or had) a tent only area. May have changed since Isaac.

Honestly Okatoma creek near Hattiesburg is a great little spot with some nice sandbar camping and a great little creek to kayak or canoe down.

Tickfaw state park tent sites are somewhat spread out and separate from the RV sites.
My favorite spot is Clear Springs Rec Area Campground in Homochito NF. It's on the highway between Natchez and McComb.
