fricking this. My god I've never seen a more redundant topic in my life. People can leave if they want to. Get the frick over it.
A quick search of your recent posts reveals you have a serious repressed anger issue. Either get laid or jerk off soon. Either way you'll feel better.

Have ever heard of the pussification of America?

Well the last 5 pages describe the pussification of LSU fans.

Me and my son will be there Saturday night until the game is over.

This is how I feel about the subject if you missed it the first time.

Traffic.

The game day experience has become a pain in the arse.
I'm starting to get that message.

I suppose that was inevitable with each additional stadium expansion without a corresponding improvement in road infrastructure.

This is a huge factor in the traffic issue. The stadium capacity has increased about 50% since the late 60's (not even accounting for the exponential increase in tailgating) while the infrastructure to handle parking/traffic is almost unchanged.

Everything, no, Somethings Absolutely !!

In 1954 when I was 5 years old I remember singing the Alma Mater, well my parents were and I was trying really hard to learn words I did not even understand what they meant but I could see the pride in my parents face and the seriousness in their voices.

After everyone sang the Alma Mater, Students alike, we all left and dealt with the crappy traffic

I do not understand why the students leave early, but I guess they do not really live and die for LSU football; the games are more like social events to them. It is easy to explain the mass exodus from the western sidelines; the corporate people are simply there to be seen or to entertain clients. Sadly that is the state off affairs when big money has taken over college football.

As an official old-timer, one other reason that hasn't been mentioned yet....

...remember back in those glory days, when by the 3rd- 4th Q, there would be a bourbon-scented fog hanging over the stadium? That mist was cigarette smoke; you can't smoke anymore- ANYWHERE.

Three or fours hours of having a nicotine fit no doubt drives a lot of smokers to the exits.

Should everyone who won't commit to staying until the end stop going to the games? Stop buying tickets, concessions, spending money etc?

I don't much anymore due to other commitments (family etc), but when I do, I go for the game. I've noticed that for a whole lot of folks, it's not about the game at all, it's to party and socialize. Older folks doing serious BBQ'ing, younger folks throwing keg parties. Probably half of them aren't really even "fans" who care much if the team wins or not, other than the damper it puts on their buzz that night.

It's a shame, because Tiger Stadium used to be legendary for the enthusiastic crowd. Now, it's not. People got spoiled.

Me and my SO used to go all the time. Kids started playing Saturday sports so we could only make one or two games a year. Now that the oldest is in the Air Force and the youngest is a senior you can expect us to be back in Tiger Stadium more and staying for the whole game.

I read somewhere that showing highlights of games still in progress violates most TV contract deals. I don't know if that affects what LSU shows on its video screens. Even the local news and sports shows can't show highlights from the first half of an LSU game if the game is still in progress.

They were doing live look ins on the big screens in Starkville last week, so not sure if this is accurate.

The Ole Miss/Tennessee game was being played on the screens last night during certain timeouts.

Come on, can't we go one week without this same topic being brought up? Give it a rest already...

Because of the loud music, lost traditions, unpopularity of Miles, and boring running up the middle out of the "I" formation 50 times a game.

Hopefully next week bc we are watching a great game and none of us get home till after 1 bc we are celebrating a huge victory

It is a continuing problem, just like our passing game, so it will be brought up again.

And it should be brought up until it's no longer a problem. It was embarrassing last night to see the stadium at far less than capacity.
